Associate disengagement starts quietly, often as a byproduct of skepticism, fear of failure, unrealistic expectations, or burnout. Before long, it shows up loudly: as missed billable targets, redistributed workloads, and turnover.

MEET THE FOUNDER

David Selesnick

Former BigLaw litigator. Certified Executive Coach. JD/MBA.

David founded LawyerWise to fill a gap he experienced firsthand. As a litigation associate at Shearman & Sterling, and through friends and colleagues at firms in both the U.S. and Canada, he saw the toll that disengagement and early turnover could take on both associates and firms. He realized there was an industry-wide lack of resources designed to help associates proactively build resilience and connection before they start to disengage.

LawyerWise was created to close that gap. We combine David’s first-hand associate experience with science-backed tools from executive coaching and positive psychology to give associates the resilience training he wishes he'd received more of when he was an associate.

How is this different from the wellness programs we’ve already tried?
